In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Fremont; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 771-9143. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, mdumplingusa.com.

We came over on the weekend and had a fantastic experience. Everything is neat and sanitized, and the dining area remains calm and quiet. The food is absolutely amazing with authentic, rich flavors. You can see how much care they put into cleanliness across the whole venue. There is no overwhelming noise, so you can truly savor each bite. It works great for simple dinners. I’m impressed by every aspect and strongly recommend this restaurant.

We spontaneously stopped in when we were craving dumplings, what a surprising gem! The food was very fresh and flavorful. We ordered: - Beef potstickers - Steamed red oil chicken wonton - Wonton soup (chicken) - BBQ pork buns (steamed) Genuinely surprised at how casually delicious and great the food, as well as the service, was!

My experience at this restaurant was honestly very mid -- yet also pleasant and what not. Here's how the experience went for me and my family, considering it was the first time that we went: Food: We ordered quite a bit of things, including their shrimp fried rice, their pork buns, XLB, and vegetables. I think this one is quite a highlight because there were quite a bit of soup within the dumplings, which is what you definitely want. The pork buns were juicy, not too thick on the skin, and definitely not too salty. The shrimp fried rice was just right, and the wok made the shrimp taste very crispy and tender as well. The vegetables were also the same as well. Hospitality: At Chinese restaurants like this, there usually is not really good service. However, throughout my time there, I felt rushed and I felt like I was always looked at. Not even a thank you or a hello, not even a check-in. Not even 30 minutes in to our dinner and they were asking if we wanted our check. People, that is not how you run a restaurant -- let alone ask patrons on the spot if they already wanted to pack their food up. Learn some manners people. The restaurant itself is quite small, and the placement of t

Good was pretty good and the service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was small but I was able to get a table right away and the food came out very fast as well. I got the soup dumpling and they were very flavorful and filling. The vibe of the place was also very nice, it had a cozier vibe, and it was pretty clean.

Loved everything about this place... I don't do lots of five stars but this hit the spot... Except one thing.. my custard bun was okay 😀... I already have a favorite spot for that so I'm ganna gatekeep that one 😀 Beef ramen was a total hit.. fire is what they call it today 🤣 Custard bun was average. Soup dumplings was also pretty awesome. Service was a nice guy... My bff stayed awhile n I'm glad we didn't get kicked out 🥰😀 Lunchtime was pretty busy n we got there before the crowd n ended lunch after the crowd died down... We were catching up n just chilin n talking.. I'm in my obsession of eating dumplings for 20 years now. It started in NYC and I'm super glad that i don't need to fly there ❤️🤣💐 Glad I found this place.
